On the 12th of March 2005 UNIque Dance organised the Second Zwolse IJsselcup.
It was a great day, with a great atmosphere, a lot of dancers, good music and
sportsmanship. All in all a great success!!
This year the competition was an international one with competitors from The
Netherlands, Germany and Great Britain.

Unfortunately the earlier announced
couple from Hungary had to cancel due to illness. Hopefully they will be
there next year! In total we had 32 couples who registered,
more than double registrations in comparison with last year!!
In addition to the Hungarian cancellation there were 4 other
couples who cancelled. So there were 27 couples at the venue. About 20
couples danced Ballroom and 24 couples danced Latin.

from Köln (Germany) finished first!

The competition was held in Multi functional centre De Bolder. A new location
for us, which worked out very well. A nice big dance floor, 200m2, a nice bar,
enough dressing rooms and free parking in front of the building.
 |
Furthermore we had a highly qualified and international panel of
adjudicators. From Germany we had Mr. Rudi Marks. He's a world famous dance
teacher and adjudicator, who's even well known in Shanghai and Japan. Also he is
the former president of the German Organisation for Professional dancers.
From
Great-Brittan we had Mrs. Marian Ward. She is an international adjudicator
licentiate by the IDTA.
Last but definitely not least Mr. Piet Kuijmans from The
Netherlands. Also an international adjudicator and licensed by the ISTD and
IDTA.

Of course we will be organising de Zwolse IJsselcup next year. We've all
ready picked a date: 11th March 2006!!
