Welcome on the Fifth Zwolse IJsselcup Website

What a fantastic day the 15th of March 2008 was!! We would like to thank everyone, dancers, adjudicators, co-workers who helped  to make this day happen!!

72 couples entered the several competitions, Standard, Latin, 10-Dance and  Show Dance. All were dancing Adults, because we had to little registrations to create Senior competitions. Those registered for Seniors therefore danced Adults. We will try again next year to create a Seniors Class!

One of the highlights of this Zwolse IJsselcup was the Show Dance competition. This competition could finally happen, since we had two couples registered. To bad one of the couples got injured and couldn't dance. Luckily the other couple, Miriam and Christel Andeweg, were willing to demonstrate ánd premiere their Show Dance, Celtic Passion! The clothes, created and made by Arno Doorn, really added to the theme. The Show Dance was very well received by the audience!!

As it was the Fifth IJsselcup and a small jubilee, we've invited some of our friends. Jacob Meijer and Pauline LaDiges-Kwikkel, who were both at the very first IJsselcup and several others, and Durk Beijert who's been our scrutineer for all these editions. Of course we'd like to meet them and all participated on  future IJsselcup!
